Week 4

This week I learned a lot about how to create my own classroom website on pbworks. I learnd how to edit a photo using the picknic website and then also learned how to embed it on the website. I really enjoyed learning how to use survey monkey and then how to embed it onto my class website. Similarly it was so cool to finally know how to utilize the free tools that Google provides such as the calendar, chat, and documents. That will be so great in the future now that I know how to share those with others using internet tools. The most difficult thing to me to learn was just the iframe jargon. I don't understand html or whatever you call it so it was nice that you just told us what to write. I also had some trouble with embedding a video from youtube. For some reason, after I posted the link and then finished adding text and other things, when I saved it the video showed up twice for some reason. I finally figured it out but it took me a while. I think that the most valuable thing that I see myself using in the future is Survey Monkey. The site made it sooooooo easy to set up and I can view the results when I want to and edit it just the same. I love it.

My Multimedia Project Storyboard




My sound Project idea

My idea for a class project is to have my students pick a fairy tale or simple story such as "The Three Little Pigs." Then they will have to create a silent film of the fairy tale using still images or acting it out themselves or even claymation. Using their own silent film, the students will then have to include sound knaps (which are dubbed sound clips to recreate the sound that was taken out). They will have specific requirements such as: video length of 1-3 minutes, must have 30 seconds or less of a music clip, 6+ sound knaps, and some sort of narration or voice over. This activity covers the Utah core requirement for Theatre Foundations III, Standard 3, Objective 2.
