Okay, so I kind of changed my project slightly just because I decided to use a Mac instead of a PC and so I used iMovie on the Mac and made a video of the process of designing/making a prop. The students could use this same idea for their scenes at the end of the year and just compile them to create a portfolio/DVD of their work. I wanted to do this video because it shows that this can also be used for the Theatre Design students and not just the actors by showcasing some of their working/designing abilities on film to then also create a video portfolio. This project uses technology that will be useful to several of the students who plan on going out into the real world pursuing a career in acting or design. I would teach them first what material is essential for their portfolios and then do a step by step run through on a projection screen of how to use the program iMovie or even Windows Movie Maker. This would cover the technology, pedagogy, and content with this project. Here is my final project!

  1. Great use of the speedup functionality to let student demo their creation of a prop. I was amazed that you could do something like this so quickly!
